    “AN INITIATIVE TO EMPOWER THE GIRL CHILD” National Girl Child Day is observing every year on January 24 to promote the rights, education, health, and nutrition of girls across the nation.Department of Child Health Nursing and IQAC had organized Guest lecture on “An initiative to Empower the girl child on 07.2.2023.Prof. Dr. K .Kamala, Principal, gave introductory speech. The resource person Mr.G.Prabhu, MSW,M.Phil,Child Protection Officer, Department of Women and child Development,Karaikalexplained about child welfare schemes and legal rights of the girl child in India. Totally 159participants were benefited. The programme was ended with Vote of Thanks.
